On the 28^th International Supply Chain Conference of the German Logistics Association (BVL) Dr. Stefan Wolff, CEO of 4flow AG, moderated the panel discussion "Process Optimisation Through Lean Management?" The panel members included speaker of Schindler, MAN Truck & Bus and Robert Bosch. In addition to international best practices, the first findings from the BVL working group "Lean Management in Warehouses" were presented.

On May 12, Katharina von Helldorff-Mager, Manager at 4flow AG, and Dr. Stefan Wolff, CEO at 4flow AG and member of the executive board of the German logistics association (BVL), delivered a motivational speech at the event entitled "Current affairs transport logistic 2011 – women in logistics: first-hand experiences, analyses and discussion" at the transport logistic in Munich. The event was hosted by Frauke Heistermann, member of the executive board at AXIT AG and of BVL, and by Dr. Thomas Wimmer, CEO Chairman of the BVL management board.

Felix Zesch, Consultant and doctoral candidate of 4flow AG, gave a presentation entitled “Integrated Planning of Production and Distribution on a Tactical Level – Requirements from Mixed-Model Production, Rail and Ship” at the Logistics Management 2009 Conference in Hamburg (Germany).

At the 16th International Conference on Life Cycle Engineering in Cairo (Egypt), organized by CIRP, Felix Zesch, Consultant and doctoral candidate of 4flow AG, gave a speech on "Life Cycle Logistics in Dynamic Environments".

At the conference "11. Paderborner Frühjahrstagung" in Paderborn (Germany), Kati Brauer, Consultant and doctoral candidate of 4flow AG, presented a paper on “Software-assisted integrated production scheduling and transportation planning”.

At the conference "AutomobilMontage 2007" (Automotive Assembly 2007), organized by vieweg technology forum, Dr. Hartmut Queiser, Vice President of 4flow AG, gave a speech on "Delivery concepts in the automotive industry - an international comparison". This contribution has also been published in the conference volume to this event.

At the 24th German Logistics Congress, organized by the German Logistics Association BVL, Andreas Mager, Head of Logistics Plant Krakow (Poland), MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG, gave a speech on the "Location start-up within the production network - new, lean logistics processes for a flexible supply chain". Among other things, Mr. Mager gave an account of the successful collaboration with 4flow in the context of the location start-up in Krakow.

At the Joint Conference 2007 in Hamburg (Germany), organized by the Hamburg University of Technology, Wendelin Gross, Consultant at 4flow AG, gave the speech "Towards Case-Based Product and Network Configuration for Complex Construction Machinery" together with Sven Kuhn and Carsten Schwab.

At the scientific colloquium "Automation systems for the future automobile", organized by VDI Bezirksgruppe Cottbus-Lausitz, Eurospeedway Lausitz GmbH and the University of Applied Sciences Lausitz, Germany, Dr. Ruediger Meier, Manager of 4flow AG, gave a lecture on "Production and logistics automation approaches by means of RFID technology".

At the conference "Lean Logistics" in Munich (Germany), organized by Euroforum, Dr. Stefan Wolff, CEO of 4flow AG, gave a speech on “Methods and prosperities of the Lean Logistics realization”.

At the 14th ERP Days in Aachen (Germany), organized by the Forschungsinstitut fuer Rationalisierung (FIR; research institute for rationalization) of the university RWTH Aachen, Dr. Stefan Wolff, CEO of 4flow AG, gave a speech on “The way to a perfect logistics network”.

At the 9th Spring Meeting in Paderborn (Germany), organized by the Fraunhofer Anwendungszentrum Logistikorientierte Betriebswirtschaft (ALB; application center for logistic-orientated business administration), Wendelin Gross, Consultant at 4flow AG, gave a speech on on "Integrated configuration and valuation of products and production networks" (available in German only - 405KB).

At the meeting of the working group Future Logistics on "Production logistics", organized by Logistik-Initiative Hamburg, Germany, Dr. Ruediger Meier, Manager of 4flow AG, gave a speech on "Container management and RFID in the automobile industry".

At the Logistics practical seminar 2007 of the TU Berlin, Logistics department, Kai Althoff, COO of 4flow AG, gave a speech on "Lean Logistics in globally operating companies" (available in German only - 811KB).

At the 6th Conference for Supply Chain Management, organized by marcus evans in Montreux (Switzerland), Kai Althoff, COO of 4flow AG, and Michael Ulverich, Head of Werkslogistik Fahrerhaus, MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG, gave a speech on 'Lean Logistics: method, potentials, practical experiences'.

At the 5th Symposium 'VPP 2006 – Vernetzt planen und produzieren' (VPP 2006 - Networked planning and production) in Chemnitz, organized by the Technical University of Chemnitz, Thomas Seidel, 4flow Consultant, gave a speech on the 'Shaping and evaluation of regional logistics networks' (available in German only). This contribution was also published in the volume of the meeting.

At the 8th Annual European Supply Chain & Logistics Summit 2006 in Prag presented by the World Trade Group Europe, 4flow’s CEO Dr. Stefan Wolff gave a speech about 'Planning and Operating Logistics Networks in Europe' in cooperation with Hans-Peter Schneider, Rhenus AG & Co. KG

Within the framework of the Executive MBA program Logistics management at the University St. Gallen and the Executive MBA for Technology managers at the RWTH Aachen, Dr. Stefan Wolff, 4flow’s CEO, and Jan Wehking, 4flow Senior Consultant, gave lectures and two interactive tutorials in the section 'Strategien des Netzwerk-Designs' (Strategies of network design) within the module 'Kooperationen und Netzwerke' (Co-operations and networks).

In the context of the 5th VDA Logistics Congress, Gerd R. Brusius, MAGNA International, reported - among other things - on Magna's application of 4flow vista in his lecture 'Logistiknetzwerkdesign- und -management als Kernkompetenz eines Global Players' (Logistics network design and management as core competencies of a global player).

Within the framework of the event, 'Wettbewerbsvorsprung durch Logistikinnovationen' (Competetive advantage through innovations in Logistics), for top-logisticians at the airport Stuttgart/Germany which was organized by 4flow and the Nexolab GmbH, Wolfgang Schmitz, Operations Director DCX BU of Johnson Controls, gave a speech on 'Transportoptimierung im Werksverbund' (Optimization of transport within the works environment). He especially talked about the collaboration with 4flow consulting concerning the realization of potentials.

At the iX Conference 2005.2: 'Bessere Software!' (Better Software!), organized by the iX magazine for professional information technology in cooperation with the publishing house, dpunkt, Dr. Matthias Vitt, Managing Developer of 4flow AG, gave a speech on: 'Poor Man's Estimation Toolbox mit PROBE und Monte-Carlo Simulationen' (Poor Man’s Estimation Toolbox with PROBE and Monte-Carlo simulations).

At the Logistics Congress of the BVL October 19th to 21st, Andreas Grote, Senior Product Manager of E-Plus Mobilfunk GmbH & Co. KG, Düsseldorf, gave a lecture on 'Logistik im Mobilfunkmarkt – eine neuartige Herausforderung' at the sequence E1 'Erfolg durch Logistik – Transparenz, Erfolgsmessung & Risikomanagement'. In 2004, E-Plus authorized the 4flow AG to conduct a Supply Chain Audit, which led to a fundamental reorganization of the planning, controlling and development of mobile phones. Mr. Grote spoke about the results of the project.

At the 5th Supply Chain Congress in Montreux/Switzerland from September 25th to 27th organized by marcus evans, Dr. Stefan Wolff, CEO of 4flow, together with Dr. Herbert Stommel, team leader SCM Industrial at Vaillant Group, gave a lecture on 'Logistiknetzwerke in Osteuropa: Trends, Chancen und Praxiserfahrungen' (Logistic networks in Eastern Europe: trends, prospects and practical experience).

At the event LogistikTagLudwigsfelde (Logistics day Ludwigsfelde), of the trade association Brandenburg e.V. and the economic system Ludwigsfelde, Andreas Kick, 4flow manager, gave a speech on 'Ganzheitliche Optimierung von Lieferketten durch Netzwerkplanung in der Automobilzuliefer-Industrie' (Integrated optimization of supply chains through network planning in the automotive components supplier’s industry) in Genshagen near Berlin.

At the 23rd Dortmunder Gespräche on the 'Optimierung von Logistiksystemen' (Optimization of logistics systems), organized by the Fraunhofer-Institut für Materialfluss und Logistik IML, Dr. Stefan Wolff, CEO of the 4flow AG, gave a lecture on'Methoden und Werkzeuge zur Netzwerkplanung' (Methods and tools used for network planning).

Within the program for the qualification of executives, 'Netzwerkmanagement für logistische Prozesse (NetloP)' (Network management for logistic processes) organized by the Kühne-Stiftung, Kai Althoff, 4flow's COO, gave a speech on 'Gestaltung und Planung von Logistiknetzwerken' (Shaping and planning logistics networks) in Schindellegi/Switzerland.

In the series of guest lectures, 'Logistik als Arbeitsfeld der Zukunft' (Logistics as a future field of work), organized by the Fraunhofer-Institut, Fabrikbetrieb und -automatisierung (IFF), in Magdeburg, Dr. Stefan Wolff, 4flow's CEO, gave a lecture about 'Gestaltung von Logistiknetzwerken' (Shaping logistics networks).

As part of the program Executive MBA in International Supply Chain Management, at the Eidgenössischen Technischen Hochschule (ETH) Zürich/Switzerland, Jörg Biermann, Vice President of the 4flow AG, gave a speech on 'Design of International Supply Chains'.

In the context of the 20th German Logistics Congress of the BVL, Rainer Hofmann, Director Supply Operations Europe, Adam Opel AG, Ruesselsheim/Germany, reported on the integration of intragroup locations and brands when redesigning supply chain operations of General Motors in Europe and on the pilot installation of 4flow vista in the field of Adam Opel AG’s supply chain design in the sequence 'Design of logistic networks'.

Within the U.S.-European Logistics Workshop 'Information Technology in Logistics' of the International Technology and Strategy Forum at the University of California, Berkeley/U.S.A., Katharina von Helldorff, 4flow Consultant, gave a speech on 'Supply Chain Design', in Berkeley on October 2nd and 3rd.

At the Logistics Podium of the Bundesvereinigung Logistik BVL within the fair, 'Verkehr und Logistik' (Transport and Logistics), from November 7th to 10th 2000, Dr. Stefan Wolff, CEO of the 4flow AG, gave a lecture on 'Rapid Supply Chain Design - Neue Werkzeuge zur Planung von Logistik-Netzwerken' (Rapid Supply Chain Design - new instruments for planning logistics networks).

In the context of the 17th German Logistics Congress of the BVL from October 18th to 20th 2000 in Berlin, Dr. Stefan Wolff, CEO of 4flow AG, gave the a lecture on 'Managing the e-Supply Chain' in the sequence B3 'Supply Chain Management – Manufacturers Get up to Speed'.

At the 100th meeting of the Unternehmer-Colloquium Spedition (UCS) from September 15th to 16th 2000, themed 'Entwicklungstendenzen im logistischen Dienstleistungsmarkt' (Development trends in the logistic service market), Dr. Stefan Wolff, CEO of 4flow, talked about 'Vision und Konzepte für die e-Supply Chain Automotive' (Vision and concepts for the e-Supply Chain).

At the meeting of the BVL regional group Oberrhein in Freiburg, Dr. Stefan Wolff, 4flow's CEO, reported on 'e-Business – Konsequenzen in der Logistik' (e-Business - consequences in logistics).
