The e-logistics prize is awarded to innovative logistics concepts and solutions that are already used or are to be launched. It is about logistical e-business solutions for applications in the fields of product development, manufacturing, distribution and disposal.
The decision about the laureate is made by a jury of logistics experts from the Automotive industry and from science. The criteria for the awarding of the e-logistics award are:
- Level of innovation
- Acceleration of the process chain
- Added value for all participating partners
- Simplicity of utilization
- Scale integration
Previous awards were given to:
- 2003: DaimlerChrysler with T-Systems
- 2002: RailCargo Austria with Palfinger
- 2001: Volkswagen
- 2000: Rudolph Logistik
The AKJ AUTOMOTIVE is a group of professionals from the Automotive and supplier industry that gets involved with its enterprises and the further development of concepts and solutions in logistics, production and IV/IT management by exchanging experiences systematically and frankly. The members are large and medium-sized Automotive manufacturers, Automotive suppliers, service providers et al., for example Audi, Benteler, BMW, Bosch, Continental, DaimlerChrysler, Dräxlmaier, Erbslöh, Ferrostaal, Hella-Behr, INA, Lear, Leoni, Mahle, Opel, Ryder, Schenker, TRW, Volkswagen, Volvo, WOCO.
