You have questions about applying for a job opening, our business areas, or working at 4flow?

1. When is the best time to apply?

At 4flow, we are always looking for talented individuals to join our fast-growing and dynamic team. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis or until positions are filled. In the event that there is a specific deadline for submitting an application, this will be explicitly stated in the job posting.

2. How can I apply for a position at 4flow? When can I expect a reply?

You can review all current job opportunities on our job portal. Please find and select the position(s) of interest and complete the online application as prompted. Be sure to complete all required fields and submit requested documentation. We ask that you upload a cover letter, résumé/CV, and all relevant certificates and references. Please be sure to submit your documents as one file. Once we have received your application, you will receive an email confirmation.

3. What is the interview process like at 4flow?

A member of our HR team will contact you to schedule a phone interview should your qualifications align with our needs. Further (on-site) interviews offer you the opportunity to learn more about working here at 4flow, while allowing us the opportunity to meet you and learn more about your skills and background.

4. 4flow has different office locations – can I apply to work at a specific location?

For jobs with 4flow consulting, you may choose the location when multiple locations are listed. Please indicate the office location of your choice. For all other functional areas at 4flow, the office location is listed in the job description.

5. Will 4flow cover my interview travel expenses?

We will certainly cover your travel expenses incurred in the interviewing process. We ask that you provide us with reasonably advanced notification so we can make travel arrangements and book accommodations for you, if necessary.

6. What are the first couple of weeks like at 4flow?

When you first start, you'll have a chance to get settled, meet new team members and familiarize yourself with your new workplace. During your first in-depth meeting with your supervisor, you will have the opportunity to plan and discuss your onboarding at 4flow. You will learn about 4flow’s business areas during introductory presentations. With 4flow’s on-the-job training, you’ll learn while you work and quickly become acclimated to your new position. As part of our team structure, you can rest assured that experienced colleagues will be on hand to coach and support you.

7. Is there a dress code at 4flow?

The standard dress code at 4flow is business casual; except for situations where formal business attire is required such as official events and meetings with customers. During the interview at 4flow, you should present yourself in professional business attire.

8. How much travel can I expect?

That depends. Our consultants generally work on-site at clients' facilities three to four days per week, with the exception of Fridays when consultants are present at 4flow offices and participate in training seminars or other events.

Consulting often consists of both domestic and international travel, since 4flow clients and projects take place in North America, South America, Asia, and Europe and are staffed with international 4flow teams.

Team members at 4flow management generally engage in less travel, normally working from their regular office locations (specified in the job descriptions). 4flow software, 4flow research and our support teams are primarily based at the 4flow office in Berlin, Germany.

9. How long does the average 4flow project last? How big are the teams?

This varies for 4flow consulting, 4flow software and 4flow management.

The length of a consulting project and the size of the team involved both depend on several factors, including project scope and complexity. The average project lasts between four to five months. The average team is comprised of two or three members.

Our software projects usually last between two to four months, sometimes continuing for a longer period of time. These teams usually consist of two to six team members.

At 4flow management, we generally work with customers on a long-term basis. Usually, three to five team members focus on a specific topic for a customer, within a large project.

Projects at 4flow research usually last for quite a few years, with several 4flowers working as a team.

10. Can I write a research thesis or dissertation at 4flow?

13. Will I have opportunities for training and development after I am hired?
