4flow turn offers the possibility to generate KPI’s and reports to measure the achievement of objectives and to conduct variance analyses.
The main performance indicators to measure the achievement of objectives are inventories and transportation costs. The target value of these indicators is calculated on the basis of the parameters defined in 4flow turn. The actual value and the value achieved by the materials manager by adjusting certain parameters are compared with the target value. Furthermore the achieved reliability of supply can be compared to the target value.

The purpose of the variance analyses is to institutionalize methods to secure the sustainability of results. The analyses focus on delivery reliability of suppliers, excess deliveries, utilization of full truck loads and the monitoring of delivery schedules.
 - 4flow turn – external variance analyses – examples
4flow turn not only analyzes external factors but also reflects company internal factors such as production program stability and variance of sales.
 - 4flow turn – internal variance analysis – example
In order to guarantee a continuous parameter verification and optimization, the user has the option to conduct a number of analyses such as inventory and transportation cost analyses per cluster as well as analyses to examine shortfalls of pre-defined safety and minimum stocks. Thus, it is possible to derive conclusions for the parame-ter settings per cluster in terms of service level and the occurring activity based costs.
 - 4flow turn – analysis to optimize the inventory and delivery matrix – example
4flow turn has been developed upon a future-proof and scalable technology plat-form. This allows an effective and stable use of the inventory and delivery frequency matrix, the dynamic inventory optimization and the monitoring functionalities.
