4flow turn is an add-on to already existing ERP or inventory management systems and is based upon the J2EE-Standard (Java Enterprise Edition). It is possible to use 4flow turn with the corresponding standardized application servers (JBoss, IBM Websphere, Sun Java System Application Server, etc.) The embedding into these approved runtime environments guarantees stability and scalability to an extremely high degree.

Because of the platform independence of the Java-technology it is possible to use several common server-operating systems e.g. Windows, Linux or Solaris.

The application data is saved in a relational database which can be selected according to customer preference (Oracle, MySql et al.).

4flow turn supports all common browsers on the client side (Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Opera).

4flow turn can be implemented at the company or hosted by the 4flow AG. Furthermore it is possible to use 4flow turn as a web service.

4flow turn can be implemented into the company system via standardized interfaces. For the import of master and transaction data standardized SAP-interfaces are utilized. The optimized material control parameters are imported into SAP via corre-sponding interfaces.

Furthermore open interfaces supporting various databases and formats for all other inventory management systems are available. A few examples would be XML-formats, EDI-formats or the CSV-version often used in medium-sized businesses.

4flow turn is capable to perform multi-user operations in real-time. Each materials manager updates the respective article codes and after the release the optimized parameters are imported into the inventory management system. All materials manager use the same inventory and delivery frequency matrix which ensures that every user is informed about modifications in real-time and works with the updated matrix.
