MAN awards 4flow consulting project

 

The project “Container Management in Excellence“ receives MAN Best Practice Award 2009.

The MAN Best Practice Award is annually assigned by the management board of the MAN Group for excellent processes, methods and procedures. The award-winning project was set up to realign the overall container management strategy of the MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group. The objective of the cooperation between MAN and 4flow consulting was to enable an on-time, cost-efficient and high-quality material supply for the MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Group.

 

The application which has been developed by inet-logistics and implemented by MAN container management and 4flow consulting resulted in significant improvements. The reliability of empties supply has been enhanced. Visibility of empties orders and empties inventory has been increased. “By changing empties management to a process based on container stock ranges, the container availability in the MAN production network has been improved”, adds Jan Fastenrath, project manager of 4flow consulting.
