4flow vista® is programmed 100 % in Java and can therefore be run on various Windows and Unix platforms. It employs object-relational layers which facilitates the display of very complex systems.
4flow vista® is a shared system with a peer-to-peer architecture which allows flexibility in running the software, from a stand-alone mode to client-server architecture. At the same time, due to its configurable elements, 4flow vista® is highly scalable.
Each module in 4flow vista® can be used independently from each other, which facilitates rapid and efficient customization.
Data import and export
It is possible to connect 4flow vista® to third-party systems via interfaces. All data objects are saved in Oracle or SQL databases. An open interface supporting diverse databases and formats for the import from other systems is available. Examples are XML formats, EDI formats or the CSV versions particularly used by medium-sized businesses. Furthermore, ERP systems such as SAP can be connected through user-specific interfaces. Moreover, projects can be exported to Microsoft Excel and, in return, imported from Microsoft Excel to 4flow vista®.
Collaborative planning
4flow vista® facilitates collaborative, real time supply chain design in a multi-user mode. This is beneficial when several planners in diverse locations are working together on the same project. All users access the same data base. They are able to see the modifications of other users and to continue working. This is possible via transaction-based messaging.
